ScanSnap Sync software keeps documents synchronised across mobile devices, PCs, Macs and cloud services
ScanSnap Sync is yet another addition to the software ecosystem for the ScanSnap product line of document scanners. With ScanSnap Sync, users can access their documents from any supported device. This free software will be available for the ScanSnap document scanner models and helps to make mobile users’ lives easier. Thanks to ScanSnap Sync, ScanSnap Organizer for PC and Mac as well as the ScanSnap Connect Application for mobile Android and iOS devices are now linked to cloud services. This enables mobile workers to automatically synchronise their documents. Supported cloud services are Dropbox, Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive.
Using ScanSnap Sync is as easy as capturing paper documents with the ScanSnap scanners. Documents scanned using a mobile device via the ScanSnap Connect Application are automatically uploaded to a folder in the cloud service. Once the user is back in the office and launches the ScanSnap Organizer software on either Mac or PC, scans are synchronised with the cloud service and are available for applying ScanSnap Organizer functions such as OCR or paper rotation. The enhanced document file will automatically be synchronized again with the cloud-based directory so that documents are available across all devices.
ScanSnap Sync will be available in autumn 2015. Existing customers will receive ScanSnap Sync as part of an automated ScanSnap software update, or can access the update via a download link online. ScanSnap Sync will make its EMEA debut at a special preview during the IFA trade show in Berlin, Germany, from September 4-9.
