MicroBizMattersDay 2017 Recap – Our highlights
What better way to start the year than with a day dedicated to micro businesses? Trending in the top 10 UK Tweets and #1 for over an hour, #MicroBizMattersDay was a truly special event, attended by a great number of small entrepreneurs sharing their experiences with business experts, and one another.
For the third year in a row, the #MicroBizMattersDay co-founders Tina and Tony connected people around the world, in real time and after the event, enabling everyone to pool both their knowledge and opportunities to further their businesses.
Many successful entrepreneurs gave their time voluntarily and promoted the day across their networks during the eight hour continuous broadcast of live Google Hangouts interviews.
The interview insights garnered from the micro business owners who took part puttygen , were extremely energising and valuable for others considering starting up themselves or just looking to maintain momentum.
The day included an interactive Q&A session with Charlie Mullins OBE (founder of Pimlico Plumbers) and Kanya King (founder of MOBO Awards), who gave the following advice:
“Be different, be unique, get noticed and take the chance to be the best at your business. It is all about recognition” Charlie Mullins OBE, founder of Pimlico Plumbers.
“Running a business is not just about networking. It is about building relationships and connecting with those who might be able to support you and you might be able to support in some way!” Kanya King, founder of MOBO Awards.
The day ended with a live session from the super talented Murdo Mitchell who, in the true spirit of entrepreneurial opportunity, was spotted performing in central London only a couple of evenings before the event.
All in all, it was a great success, and we were proud to support #MicroBizMattersDay to bring micro business owners valuable advice and information.
